Mariam and Nora in Vegas
Yes, another educational journey that two of our fortunate team players were a part of.
This year’s TrendVision was held at Caesars Palace Las Vegas and was attended by our very own Mariam and Nora. The ladies were “wowed” with Vegas and the TrendVision experience.
We wanted to know what “stood out for them about TrendVision”. They both said the actual runway with the fashion hair show was out of this world!! They said the creativity and level of artistic skills of participants was amazing! They both thought it was so cool to have people from around the world coming together and sharing the same passion and energy for their chosen profession.
Of course both Nora and Mariam “loved” being in Vegas too! Beautiful
city, amazing buildings and statues. And not to mention that Caesars Palace in
itself was a highlight, with so much architectural detail, level of
service and the VIP pool lounge for TrendVision guests was a very
welcome gesture too!
One of Mariam’s “wow” moments was seeing “Hell’s Kitchen” in real life, she is a huge fan and now watching the show will be a completely different experience.
The actual “Hair Show’ was held in the Ballroom of Caesars Palace. This is where the majority of major events are held. Both Mariam and Nora were very impressed by the caliber of the show, very high end. They said it was so evident how much time, money, and effort went into creating a show like this. They said it was really cool to hear where the stylists got their inspirations from to create the different looks presented on stage.
After watching the show they said defined lines, noticeable colour (greens, yellows and reds) faux hawks, shaved sides and backs, and some kind of detailed braid added to each style is very on trend this season!
It was super inspiring to see the winners announced, and have Sherman Wong, present the gold medal to one of the winners.
Of course Wella didn’t disappoint with how it treated the attendees of the event! They held two cocktail parties, one the first night everyone arrived, and the 2nd one before the hair fashion show. So everyone had the chance to mix, mingle, meet the creators of the looks being presented on stage as well as the elite super stars, ambassadors, educators and management of Wella.
On the 2nd evening after the fashion hair show, Wella held a dinner for everyone. Food is always important!!
It's interesting that both Nora and Mariam feel like this is an event suited for people who are not “hairstylists”. Both ladies think anyone would enjoy this event and should look into attending if you are interested in fashion and beauty! Mariam met one lady in the audience who was not a hairstylist and had no connection to the industry at all, she was simply an observer. The cool thing is that after the show this woman said she would love to make this her career one day!! So motivating!! Nora thinks an event like this needs to be televised like the Victoria Secret Fashion shows, as the quality, and craftsmanship is 2nd to none and she feels would be enjoyed by sooo many people, if given the opportunity!!

Mariam and Nora came back to Tappa more inspired, motivated and passionate about what they do than even before!! They know the opportunities in our business are endless and they have the ability to offer their skills and knowledge to everyone and anyone and help each person feel better inside and out!! They both are considering competing for the 2019 TrendVision competition, as Amy did this year (and Amy too, along with a few other of our talented stylists are possibly going to make a run for 2019). One thing is for sure, some of our team will be there either as competitors or guests in 2019!!!
