Wella's Jean Sebastian
and "Advanced Balayage"

Balayage is the art of hair painting. Hair artists use this method to give their clients low maintenance, yet elegant highlights. This technique was developed in the 1970's by the French, and has grown to be one of the most popular techniques used in the industry today! From bold to subtle the possibilities are endless! This technique can be applied with or without foil depending on the desired look. For a more bold look, you would use foil and it will make it more contrasted and they call this foilaging.

On Sunday, October 28th 2018 we had the pleasure of taking the Advanced Balayage Class from Wella's Jean Sebastian. Our stylist thrived during this full day workshop and received so many valuable tips & tricks. This technique is used for many different types of color placement options and also used to transition the color of the hair, giving it different shades, melted looks and dimension. Most people think that you can only use balayage on blonde hair or to achieve blonde, but balayage is used on all types of hair and with many different colours

As you can see there are so many options of balayage that you can have and or achieve! The metallic colors and subtle looks are very in trend right now, especially non-touring. Check out our video with Jean Sebastian to see more of the latest trends, tips and tricks!
