and "Strobing"
Recently we had another great Advanced Hair Workshop. This time it was all about the new colour products, techniques and trends for Spring and Summer.
Our team at Tappa Hair Salon is loving the new colour fresh – Why?!? Super simple... it's client friendly. We love that we can customize the exact shade for everyone's personal hair needs. Kyla, one of our Tappa stylists, loves this new product as a take home application for those clients wanting dramatic colour changes best done over a period of time. For example, going from ebony black to a Norwegian blonde.
Our new updated Peek A Boo technique, or as it is now referred to, “shine lines”, is an awesome option for those wanting pops of colours while still being very suitable for office and work environments. For those of you in professions where “funky” colours may not be encouraged, shine lines is a great option. The biggest benefit for this approach in colour placement is how it brightens and opens up the face.
Our Amy loved this new “strobing” technique saying that it's an easy way to update any classic look. She went on to add that this is a “new tool in her pocket” that she looks forward to use as much as possible. And Strobing? What exactly is it you ask? Subtle bands of colour that add depth and enhancement with any colour service whille working with the natural movement of our client’s hair.
Yana too is very excited with the strobing technique. She is super excited about how healthy it makes the hair look, while adding super shine that leaves the hair glowing. This technique in hair is similar to strobing that you find with make up applications. it can be both a subtle or bold change to the hair.
Bri confirmed her love for the strobing technique because of the pop of color that results and how highly low maintenance it is. She says, "This technique leaves minimal damage to the hair but gives anyone the little pick me up they are looking for! This technique is so simple, yet has such an impact. You will leave here (Tappa) with shiny, healthy hair. What more could you want."
