Italian Inspired "Capalli"

As passionate stylists we often see a landscape, a piece of art, a statue, a section of drift wood and we become instantly influenced for the possibilities of our next “look”.

The featured personalized trend that appears on this page that we created for Tori, was just such an inspiration.

Check out these pics that our brain wave flourished from

Tori is heading off on a dream vacation to Italy, and so our brainstorming began. After a few Italian inspired pics  for motivation, we had a concept and a plan for Tori’s hair!

Italian architecture consisting of brick, influenced us to incorporate texture, layering, and “hidden secrets" of fused colour together with how our foils should be placed to compliment our image for Tori.  We loved how everything “blended” and felt calm, so we knew our image had to include monochromatic non-touring between the hair and skin.

To achieve the effect we envisioned, we chose to do a half head of thin sliced highlights with 30 volume Blondor, placed diagonally on her sides and angled on the top to give Tori a beautiful blend that would melt right into her skin.  We then went back in and did a very cool toned “blurred” root to promote the “non-touring" effect.   We finished this fused colouring by toning with: 1/2 9/16 & 1/2 10/8 with 6 vol.

Once we had built our consistent canvas, we went back in to the blocked panel of highlights at the Occipital bone, and using the “brick lay” method, we layered hidden secrets of colours , using Wella  Colour Fresh in back to back foils.  The placement and colour were influenced by the Italian stone from our inspiration pics. For the pops of colour we used:

Formula A: 60g of nu-dist pink & 15g of infinite orange
Formula  B: 60g of nu-dist pink & 5g of high magenta
Formula  C: 45g of nu-dist pink, 15g of hyper coral & 5g of tomorrow clear

Each foil was diffused with all 3 colours to create texture, dimension and softness to our splashes of colour to emulate the stone.

We let process for 20 minutes, rinsed and sealed with Wella Post Colour Treatment

Bon viaggio Tori!

We don’t know about you and we hope you agree... we think the finished result speaks….. or should we say “parlare” for themselves ;)

Sincerely

An inspired Stylist,
