Transitioning From A Traditional Ombre

To A Sassy Rose Gold

I was honoured to transform my guest from a classic ombre to a dimensional rose - gold.

First I pre-lightened her roots to a medium blonde shade, and her ends slightly lighter to create greater vibrancy and longevity.

I decided to use Wella's "peachy pink" tutorial as inspiration using their new "colour Fresh Create" series. Click Here

After I washed her hair I begin mixing my formulas, while her hair was being fluffed dried;

Formula A - 1/2 Infinite Orange, 1/2 Nu-Dust Pink

Formula B - 1/4 Infinite Orange, 1/4 Nu-Dust Pink, 1/2 tomorrow clear

Formula C - 1/4 Infinite Orange, 1/2 Nu-Dust Pink, 1/2 tomorrow clear, and a dot of High Magenta

Formula D- Nu-Dust Pink

I first Applied Formula A to her roots to build contrast and create a shadow root. For the mid-shift and ends of her hair I alternated between Formula B and C on each panel. Then to personalize it, I Took Formula D and applied it to selected ends of hair, and added "babylights" throughout my creation. Her processing time for this stage was 20 minutes. After rinsing and washing the "Colour Fresh Creates'' from the hair, I naturally followed up with Wella Post Treatment. This is so important for the integrity and longevity of our colours.
